I have been getting some complaints about the HTC Hero being a little "Laggy" - here is a quick fix that seemed to help with the lag challenges.
Go to:
Menu > Settings > Local & Text > Text Input > uncheck sound feedback and vibrate when typing
For those of you like me who kinda liked the vibrate when you touched a key - BOO!
