OK - so it's a good/ad thing. The Android system can run multiple applications/tasks at the same time - bad thing is having a butt-load of apps all running at the same time can really take a toll on the already questionable battery life and bringan Android phone performance to a crawl. . So how to you "stop" all those apps and tasks from running.
The SOLUTION is to download Advanced Task Killer from the Android market. The cost is $2.99 - well worth it though as it does much more then the free version. If you are on a budget - get the free version.
Task Killer stops background processes and apps, specify an “Ignore List”, or kill all apps running with one button.
